It is of leading importance that a company's booth be observed at a convention. I've been to different conventions in my life, and I have still to see one without pop up displays. All that I've been to will have vibrant, borderline gaudy, displays that exhibit this and that. Granted, majority of the conventions that I've been to have either been for books, comics, or even collectibles, but the point still stands that pop up displays are used almost everywhere. One then wonders at the causes of its ubiquity.

More than going to conventions, I have also helped manage the occasional booth or two. I wasn't there for the initial setting up of all the stands, but I can recognize that things need to move fairly quick. The pace at conventions is very prompt, and those who proceed slow, won't be able to do anything. The application of pop up displays then permits things to be set up quickly and easily. When I was there, the stands were actually up and running (so to speak) so I did not have to worry about them. Once installed, all we had to fret about was getting the books and adverts up on the compartments on our display, similar way as with all the other pop up displays. The speed with which it was positioned granted us to get to work at a fast rate.

More than this though, as all pop up displays are actually very colorful, we definitely seemed like a bunch of birds displaying their colors to prospective mates, aiming to draw all that we could. While it may seem like a foolish comparison, it works in this sense. All pop up displays are multi-colored and appealing for a reason. Well, not to attract birds with mating calls, but actually to entice customers with sales calls. I've seen booths that displayed only a table with products on it, but these didn't draw nearly as much interest as those with real pop up displays exhibiting their metaphorical plumage.

Lastly then, I noticed that the more awesome the pop up displays were, the more customers would tend to check out those booths. I was able to view some that presented interactive tiny doohickeys that people crowded around all desirous to touch. This naturally, resulted in boosted sales by the person, never a bad thing in my book.
